A story about Richard Dawkins
Mr. Dawkins held a small lecture in Oslo last year, at Blindern University. I went there because I admired his book, “The Selfish Gene”. I was not disappointed. His lecture was about if evolution can be predicted, and it was extremely interesting, as is the man and the field he’s in.
At the end of the lecture, one (pardon me for saying so) stupid individual who clearly held strong belief in so called “Intelligent Design”, stole the few minutes left over for questions from the audience, with unintelligent replies to Dawkins’ arguments, and pointless questions about mr. Dawkins’ view of the whole ID-idea. It embarrassed me, and it annoyed me, that among all the questions that people clearly had, this ID-guy stole the entire show with his stuttering, stupid mumbling. But all in all, I learned a whole lot from the lecture. I’m gonna get his latest book on the God delusion too.
